Techniques, special moves, combos, fatalities and brutalities
The most basic set of attacks is called Basic Attacks. As a rule, these are the simplest techniques aimed at quickly inflicting minimal damage to the enemy. In addition, each of the characters presented in the game has three unique combat techniques - “Style Techniques” or “Variations”. Proper use of their advantages will more than once help you get out of a deadly brawl unharmed.
The most powerful special attack, as in Mortal Kombat 9 is an X-Ray Move. By using it at the right moment, you can not only significantly increase your chances of winning, but also turn the outcome of the battle in your favor.
Having won an unconditional victory over the enemy, the character can brutally finish him off by performing a Fatality. Another type of finishing move is called Brutality. To implement them, as a rule, it is necessary to fulfill a number of conditions during the battle. Faction fatalities in MKX depend on the faction that the player chose when he first started the game. Each faction - Lin Kuei, Black Dragon, Brotherhood of Shadow, Special Forces or White Lotus - has 5 factional fatalities available. They open after reaching a certain level, which increases gradually as you participate in numerous battles. Until this moment, they cannot be performed. Even if the combination is typed correctly, it will not work until it appears in the list of techniques on the “Finishing Techniques” tab. Factional fatalities are carried out like regular ones, after the inscription “FINISH HIM/HER” appears on the screen, but they are always performed at a great distance from the victim. You can change your faction at any time in the game by going to the “Faction” section in the main menu, but earned levels and rewards will be lost. The key combinations do not change with the change of grouping, they are all the same, only the names and effects are different.
